Living the best life I can live involves setting big goals and going after them. I want to share a few of my adventures with you and encourage you to go after what you want in life!
One of my goals for 2017 was to participate in my first sprint triathlon. This is a picture of me on September 24, 2017 transitioning from the swimming portion of the race to biking. It was a great accomplishment for me!
One of my goals for 2016 was to ride my first century bike ride, that is 100 miles in one day. This is a picture of me on June 4, 2016 at the finish life of the Tour De Cure for the American Diabetes Association. I rode 102 miles! Training for this ride taught me an entirely new level of discipline, determination and mental fortitude. I was a great ride!
In January of 2014 I set out to learn how to play the upright bass. It took two years of one-on-one instruction and group classes, but in May of 2016 I played my first gig with the bluegrass band River Bound. I have a lot more to learn, but I am having a great time meeting people and playing fun music!
This is me and my hubby, John, at a St. Louis Cardinal game in 2016! Go Cards!
in October 2015 three friends and I decided to ride our bikes for 164 miles over three days on the Katy Trail. We had a great time and met a new friend along the way! It was a challenging three days of cold and wind, but we persevered and made lifelong friends and memories.
